Club classification
Each player may carry a maximum of 14 clubs in his bag.
Generally include:
3 clubs (tee club, 3 wood, 5 wood)
9 Iron bars (3456789P)
2 bunker poles(Hybrid or Wedge)
1 putter.
You can also choose to add or subtract different functions according to your needs.
Each club has its own characteristics and is used for different occasions.
Driver:
Long, light head, used for longer fairway shots.
Driver is usually divided into tee wood (No. 1 wood) and fairway wood (No. 3 to 9 wood). Fairway wood appearance and the first wood is basically similar, the main difference is the size of the club head, and the Angle of the club face is different. The smaller the number, the longer the rod length and the lighter the weight. The source of the wooden pole is because it was made of wood in the early days, and the earliest was made of red persimmon wood, so the argument is still used today.
Iron:
Irons are mainly used to hit fairway balls onto the green, close to the hole.
Irons are arranged in ascending order (1 to 9) according to different club face inclination, and the larger the inclination of the irons, the closer the stroke distance, and the easier it is to play higher. The characteristic of the iron is that it is easy to maintain the direction of the ball, which can ensure the direction to the maximum extent, so that the ball can be hit close to the target although the distance is not enough.
Hybrid:
The hybrid is usually used to cope with longer fairways, while having better handling and tee height.
Wedge:
In rough areas, bunkers, and short shots to the green, you need to dig the wedge. Due to the large tilt angle of the club face, the ball can run higher when hitting with the dig rod, and its unique angle can make the ball rotate more in place.
Wedge can be divided into characteristics:
Pitching Wedge
Gap Wedge
Sand Wedge
Lob Wedge
Putter:
The putter is usually used to push the ball into the hole, and the ball head design is relatively flat, with different shapes and weight distributions.
The putter is designed to provide more precise control in order to push the ball into the hole.
The putter is the only club in the rules that does not specify the head of the club. Different putter sizes and shapes are ever-changing, and the most important thing is to choose a putter that is suitable for you and comfortable to use.
